Gina Lollobrigida was an Italian actress, photojournalist, and politician. Her films included Beauties of the Night, The Wayward Wife, Bread, Love and Dreams, Beat the Devil, Woman of Rome, Le Grand Jeu, The World’s Most Beautiful Woman, Trapeze, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Law, Never So Few, Solomon and Sheba, Come September, Woman of Straw, The Private Navy of Sgt. She was the daughter of Giuseppina Mercuri and Giovanni Lollobrigida. She was a great-aunt of politician Francesco Lollobrigida, who is Minister of Agriculture, and of Olympic speed skating silver medalist Francesca Lollobrigida. She was also related to sports journalist Marco Lollobrigida; likely a second cousin, once removed.
