Donald "Duck" Dunn is an American bassist, version musician, record producer and musician. Dunn is best known for his 1960s recordings with Booker T. & the M.G.'s and as a session bassist for Stax Records. At Stax, Dunn has performed on thousands of records, including hits from Otis Redding, Sam & Dave, Rufus Thomas, Carla Thomas, William Bell, Eddie Floyd, Johnnie Taylor, Albert King, Bill Withers, Elvis Presley and many others. In 1992 he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Booker T. & the M.G.'s. He is ranked 40th on Bass Player Magazine's "100 Greatest Bass Players of All Time" list.

As a session musician for Stax Records, he contributed to hundreds of hit songs by artists such as Elvis Presley, Otis Redding, and Rufus Thomas, earning him the moniker"Duck". He also played bass for Booker T. & the M.G.s, a funk band inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992.
